Question:The economy is heading into a recession and the company is running at a loss. the rail fares is increasing. How do you use the information below to inform your decision on price?Do you rise or lower price?
1)Price elasticity of demand: -1.58explain:Because the PED is -1.58, we can know that the demand is elastic but the demand and price are not changing in the same direction..It means that when the price of bus goes up, the quantity demanded will go down at a big scale. Therefore,on the contrary, if we want to increase the demand we should lower the price .It is better to lower the price in my opinion.
2)Income elastic of demand: -2.43explain: Because of the negative YED which is estimated as -2.43, we can know that the demand is elastic which means that demand falls as income rises. So we can conclude that taking a bus isinferior. Therefore, the company should lower the price.
3)Cross elasticity of demand: 2.21explain: Because the XED is greater than 1, we can know that the two goods are substitues which means that the quantity demanded of taking a bus goes up with the increasing price of rail fares and they have close relationgship. Therefore, the company need to drop the price.
4)Price elasticity of supply: 1.15explain: Because the PES is greater than 1, the price of bus is elastic which means that the quantity supplied goes up along with the increasing price of taking bus. In conclusion, it is betterfor the company to rise the price.

Different countries have their own languages .This is a problem for business. Even though a lot of Chinese people can speak English now,but 30% are students,only 20% can speak easy English , 10% have English jobs and 40%can not speak English . therefore, English business communication is difficult. If some British people want to come to china to earning money, i think they must spend a long time to learn Chinese,then they can come to China.

Secondly ,British market demand is different from China ,before you decide to do marketing, you must think about what Chinese people's needs,during this time,you need spend time and money to research on the business you intend to do before opening your own company.


Lastly,the services of customer. China has more than 1 billion people ,and 50% of the people are middle class families ,30% are rich families and 20% are poor,so before you're ready to open a company in China ,you must know who your customer are? If you do not know who your customers are or which class,you might not succeed.

I remember my friends who from other contires,when they come to China they all like eat Hotpot and think it is really spacial and dilisious.So i find some businesses from hotpot that i think foreign people like Chinese food and they must prefer spacial Chinese food ,like hotpot=) therefor if i recomend hotpot to england it must be have lots of chance to developing it,because hotpot will have a large marketing in england.and if it developing ,i can raise my price to sale it,and some england people never eat it,they must want to try,so they will pay money for it,and if they think it taste very good,they might want to eat again,and pay money for it again,then i can earn money from a lot of people
